I used to be a tech rep for Ride about 6 years ago and I always loved their boards. I havent ridden one since then but I know if its made at the factory in Washington im sure its pretty good.
I ride a 165 Libtech and love it.

what happens if its not made in Washington? Quality issues?
I am going to look around today, I'll check out those libtechs

To be honest most main company boards would work just fine. Find one that suites your budget, riding type and foot size and you''l be fine.
My guess is most boards are now produced on a massive scale unless you go with a small company.
Let us know how it goes?
You will pay abit more for a Libtech, Burton, Ride, or any other larger popular company but its for good reason as they offer a great product.
What was your last board?

i have a GNU 167 wide. I like it alot, i just want to try a shorter board.
I got it about 3-4 years ago and paid about 300 for it. I just want to try a shorter board.

Yeah that pretty large especially if you not always riding the deep powder. How tall are you?
Im 6'2" and ride a 164 and its perfect especially for where I ride.
Gnu and Libtech are the same company.

If you want more control I would go with a Libtech or a Burton as both boards focus on freeriding where as the Gnu was probably a bit more of a freestyle / park pipe board.
Go for something with a nice stiffness, but for your size I wouldnt go smaller then a 162.

Does anyone know if there is a company that offers the service of doing your own graphics on a board?

Nitro are solid decks... always have been.

cool
I have been looking for 2 weeks now and no one around here carries them.
I kind of wanted to see in person, rather than order online. But I guees it's my only option.

i've never owned a Nitro, but i have ridden a few... my boy Shin rides for them... riding with him really knocks me down a few notches.
i rock Forum decks, only because i get them free.

Q: How tight do you strap your binding? I've always strapped them way to tight and it cuts of my circulation. Does anyone use Switch Bindings anymore?
