or something.

Buy the space on the BACK of gas station receipts. I pitched that idea to a similar client a few years back and they went for it. Did wonders for the biz.

make up some magnets with the logo and what-not. Then stick them bitches on every car you see, right by the handle.
That way you are targeting car owners, and i know that if i get a flyer, it is trashed. But if i get a magnet, it goes on the fridge.also - talk to som ebusiness owners with lots. Tell them that you'll give them a cut on every car that gets towed out of their lot(for not paying, or whatever).

Get their name and number on some road flares (1-2 bucks a peice) or reflective triangles. Pass em out at street fairs or other gatherings...you break down> reach for a flare/triangle > ahhhh there's that tow truck number.

do like 5,000 stickers and put them at like every gas station and especially in phone booths.

Also I knew a guy who managed a building I used to work at and he had people towed from the parking lot all the time. The tow company he used gave him a small percentage for every $100 tow to make worth his while and to use there company.

hit up local repair garages, they always have a preferred towing service.
parking lots/garages might be a good idea too, talk with their management companies and try to become their preffered tow truck driver. Car are constantly dying in parking garages and lots.
best of luck to your buddy, man.

a referral payout for the shops and gas stations who call. Like $5 or 10$ a call?
This works in the hotel industry.

take a series of high quality photo shoots of him being sassy with his tow truck, put flyers of the shoot inside of fashion magazines
