nclose but no cigar verdana's lower case "t" and "y" look different ...maybe check out under connect > talent ...what is that pixel font used for the bios?

well the thing is that carbone did it in flash and it looks clean and nice...but after close examinaation it's not verdana...

No offense, and, at the risk of offending any hardcore typographers, but, does it matter? If we all thought it was Verdana, I 'm sure Verdana will suffice if you are looking for something similar.

it must be a commercial pixel font set. i'm trying to think of a foundry i saw a while back who did this type of thing. will post if i find it.

Could you also define "close examination?"
Not trying to rip on you, just wondering if a microscope was used, or if you seriously overlayed the two in Photoshop, zoomed in to 1000% and compared them.
