Flash within emails

Anyone know of a successful way to build and send emails that will display a flash animation/movie .

Ministry of Sound were embedding swfs in Emails 5 years ago, only security got tighter, disable active x got checked as default and in the end the warning message that popped up in Outllok to ask if you want to enable active x was so worrying that noone did it.
for a while though it looked hopeful.
You can do it BTW but whos going to enable something that could potentially allow viruses into you computer.

Used to work at a place that does that. Think u use Flash embedded in HTML with a GIF altenative loaded WITH the Flash. Flash is on a layer above the GIF. IF the users email doesn't accept Flash, they see the GIF behind it. But I don't think Office XP accepts Flash emails anymore though. Actually, I think most email clients don't accept it. I'd look it up on Macromedia. I'm pretty sure that they have the code up there to do that, but that was a few years ago., and everything has changed.

Does Lotus Notes still accept Flash in email? I think they used to be ok with Flash 4.

Flash in email is a great idea. More jobs for the Flash folks and email coders. Cooler looking emails, especially porn emails. Video in your emails would be niice.
Unless youre still using 56K, I don't see what the problem is. Why are there ppl against it? Doesn't mean more or less SPAM, just better looking spam. Its like if ur dog shits on your carpet. He can shit out poo thats brown or poo thats the same color as your carpet. Both are bad, one is bad but better than the other.
