the world needs more zappa like people. one of the most satisfying reads was his autobiography "the real frank zappa book", check it if u can.

the book in insanely good..one of the funniest books i've ever read..
guy was a genius...but more than that, he also seemed like just one really cool nice guy...cheers

I came home from work in a weird zappa mood tonite.
my uncle is a big zappa freak, like 20 years my senior (52).
he just had major surgery and is starting to feel pretty mortal. saturday is zappa day with unk. and Im trying to get all my ducks in a row, ya know?

exador, make sure you own the zappa DVD "Baby Snakes" if you dont already...
yeah what killed me about zappa was despite how crazy or stupid the dude was, he was quite articulate, just go to a zappa quotes site and be blown away....plus the way dude defended himself at court...
i wish he was alive today, he really was one of the pioneers in early computer based music creation, and i could only dream about what he'd do with a program like Reason (all he wanted to do was pursue orchestra stuff...he essentially used his rock career for funding after a while... but the snobbyness of orchestraic genre pissed him off, plus he was really anal about the way people played, so he could get his control freak on with comp based stuff.)
