experience with accepting paypay payments using php and curl?

didn't know paypal had api's as open source. I have used curl with other gateways, if you need examples of curl let me know.

i have used curl with ibill, ipay, and authorize.net, but a client requested paypal cause "its cheaper". i will do more googleing
