Yeah neil's a good fella, Astill is pretty funny aswell.
Did some work experience there while back, which led to me getting the work. I still pop into thier studio from time to time.
- DavidFelt0
yeah pretty much, shame though cause it was a cool little thing, they wanted to make money out of it but wrent ready for the long haul so its no more. But hey, its a nice job for the folio!!!!!
your site has centro and astil and stuff, i know the designer at astill, neil nisbett, he did the logo for centro. You know anyof the guys there?

I'd seen the 8020 mag and the rant website before. Did the 8020 boys run out of cash?

- tyfighter0
Hey David
I've seen some of your stuff before. I Like it. Where abouts in Manchester are you based?
- DavidFelt0
Sorry for late reply piperboy, thanks for the compliment, me and mike set up Felt about 18 months ago and things are sweet... its pretty competitive for work here so be prepared to egt a few rejections... but as for a place to live, Manchester is great, best place in the UK.
Oops thats gotta upset somebody! ;)

normski, are you a freelancer? where did you come from before landing in Manchester?
the only thing i hear about Manchester and England is that they are racist. is that still true?
- piperboytoy0
my friend is moving there and I'd like to go as well. I'm not totally sure, Manchester is a second choice for me.
I don't mind rain, i grew up in vancovuer and it rains from Sept to March so i don't care.
Just as long as it's not hot in the summer and freezing in the winters.
- Normski_Ejah0
Yeah, if you get the chance to come across. it's a great place to be. i've been here over 3 years.
do you like rain?
- mr_snuggles0
Manchesterian?
- piperboytoy0
i suppose i can learn a new language too.
- jox0
But then there's the language barrier...
- piperboytoy0
well i actually have a buisness idea, but will need financial backing. I might try to get a canadian grant to develop the prototype and then try to get my own financing. But i'd probably would like to get freelance work as well.
So it's hard to find full time work for local designers?

Hey there,
I'm a New Media Designer from Manchester and I've taken a year abroad in San Francisco to expand my knowlegde and contact base as I was struggling in Manchester. If you are interested in starting a business Manchester is a very promising place to be. It is an up and coming and growing community. Now could be a good time to take the plunge.
