European Computers?

So I am building a computer for family in europe... but I know the wattage is different. So my question is... if I build a computer here, will it work fine in Europe given that every component may react to different electrical watt needs? Does that make sense? I know the wall plugs are different, but they can just get a different cord to go into the power supply (PC) if that is the case.

there should be a voltage switch on the PSU. Just make sure that's NOT set to (120v?) the American setting.
I blew up my first ever PC, about 10 minutes after taking it out of the box, by doing that.

ah... so I set it to what? 220V?

220-240 if you are in Europe.
Decent computers (Apple) have auto-switch power supplies (I blew up my PowerComputing Mac clone on returning to Europe because I didn't flick the switch on the crappy power supply)
