Trying to figure out why my tables show up fine in IE but don't in Safari, Firefox, etc.
I set this up in Dreamweaver and is supposed be centered on the page like it shows in IE. Can someone take a look at the code and catch the cause?

tables are good for hiding under when the CSS bomb goes off.

Works fine in FF, XP.

and FF win2k.
But seriously why use tables for that??

Start with a table 100% deep and wide and then just insert your table into taht and set that to "centre" and "middle"...make sense?

you dont even need to go near a table for that.

Thanks all. I don't have really much experience in CSS so how would I even get started doing this in Dreamweaver to achieve the look I'm after?

oooh aahhhhh
No CSS huh?
How long is yer timeframe? If you have the time this would be a good opportunity to pick it up. If the deadline is tight though - stick with tables and ne'er mind the CSS nazis on here

Make the top and bottom colors a bg image and then just center te flash in a div man!

*adjusts black css armband.
I'm not being cheeky about it, but if you search the PVN for CSS you'll find a few posts from me with loads of links to tutorials, repositories etc etc...
Also in Dreamweaver itself there are a few decent resources, in the help files for a start...also the reference panel has O'Reilly's CSSreference built into it...
which version of DW are you using?
- Buckyball20
MX 2004. I saw some basic CSS templates in DW but none for the layout I was trying to build. I'll search the PVAN for tutorial sites.
thanks

get DW8....
it helps you greatly with CSS too... download a trial first of course ;)

thx. I'm thinking once I get in there and start messing around, this shouldn't be too hard to accomplish.
