Is there a cheaper way to get out of London and into France than the Eurostar?
We really just need to get across the Channel, so Lille or Paris will work. Or even Belgium.

easy jet ends up being something like a third of the price, depending on the season. look for flights out of gatwick, sometimes even british airways is quite a bit cheaper. I got a flight in may for like 30 quid.

Would anyone of you in the UK or Europe in general be willing to exchange a few emails? I will be traveling with 3 others for most of December, and would love to bounce some ideas off of you and see how feasible they are.

just start a thread about your travels. people do it all the time

What about using a giant catapolt? Too risky? Strap yourself to the bottom of the ferry and ride for free.

So yeah, how much roughly for a bus to Ashford or Dover, then a Ferry over?
