not speaking to cause reaction but an agency focused on communication should have at least some idea on how to present themselves - how can you trust that they will do anything for you as a client if they can't do it for themselves, bad example of design - editorial is ok if you can be bothered, slow loading example of flash no user interaction regarding loading apart from the first loader, cheap site ... say no more .. shame work looks ok :P can't crtitise something with out looking first lol

site's not too bad, layout is clear, the image preloading is pretty poor though.
They do great work, shame it takes so long too see it.But then I can think of plenty of great agencies who don't have time to put together a half decent site or keep it updated.

Don't care for the site much but their work speaks volumes, one of the best agencies in the US IMO. THey really think about their work
- kelpie0
I have always thought sites like that might as well be in HTML, with obvious benefits, but the work is excellent...

don't know why there is the huge preloader at the beginning but nothing for the screenshots. It feels like there was an error when i clicked to see the work.
great work tho. i always think that if your work is good, you won't need too many bells and whistles.

a: site widens to full screen, places a 'you don't have flash' gif on the right side that doesn't go away, and then loads the site on the left.
b: no work loads for me in their portfolio. after waiting a ton, nothing comes up.
c: i close the site.
d: i assume since they can't make their own site, they won't be able to make mine. (if i was a client. but hey, i guess they shouldn't count on client response based on their website. i'm sure they have other routes).

i like the work and site. maybe its slow cause they didnt expect this much traffic.
besides, a comment from a person who just signed up today and make that comment is worth nothing to me

I imagine that most of their work doesn't come from their website but from reputation and being retained.
I agree though, it all could of been done in HTML.On a side note I met Bill Cahan at a party once, seems like a good bloke and a bit of a swordsman too allegedly.
He spent all evening chatting up the young lady interns and apparently puts it about the office a bit.Legend!

hmm, i think the new Cahan site looks too much like the old NavyBlue site:

I found it to be unusable. I never even saw any work. I saw no preloader or anything. I also dont know what the point of the really long vertical flash movie is with wasted space and a message telling me they've detected I'm not using Flash 7 at the bottom when I actually have Flash 7.
I definitely remember being impressed when looking at the work in the old version though.

You have no flash. Yes I do you. 10 minutes later some options. Click on first bit of work. Wait for a while. Nothing. Close.
Pish.
- seed0
a bit of a swordsman too..
haha. Nice.
- phatlee0
it looks nothing like the old navyblue site, apart from the blue ...

Soda having tonnes of great sex with younger women should in no way excuse you from having a shite website.
well, ok, maybe not true...
- soda0
kelpie
I said that to him and he laughed at me.
- kelpie0
stuck up fucker.

The work is sick, it speaks for itself. Cahan is know for their print work, especially on the annual report side...I would never classify them as a web agency.
Even if their site is not the most fancy or user friendly, take that as face value. Bottom line is their work is some of the most conceptual and top notch around.
BAM!
- mach5des0
I disagree - having sex with young women is an excuse for just about anything!
- jpea0
i'd love to say that their work is sick, but after a minute on broadband, i still couldn't see any work.

mach5des, Your site URL is fucked in ya profile
