anybody know of anything out there – like a 1-2 week working session for the f*** of it – non-commercial, just exploratory and experimental...?
I don't know if there are any retreats or workshops or anything like that for working graphic design professionals, but I could use one about now, so let me know if you've come across anything like this in the past.
US, Europe, Asia, anywhere.
thanks

sorry for fucking around..
yea, i dont know of any RETREAT type things, vs. confrences or workshops...
what do you mean by retreat? like getting away from the city, and working on inspiration, design, etc...?

Yeah, the tomato workshops are sort of what I'm looking for – thanks for that link.
Retreat might not be the right word, but anything that's 100% focused on design for like 10 hours a day for a week or two – exploring new ideas, collaboration, experimentation on entirely non-corporate work. Something to recharge the creative soul I guess.

dude you should have hit up semi-permanent it was a major feed for inspiration and creative people joining forces to take over the world it was a great time for all that i know that attended if you didnt enjoy it or have a good time you probably shouldnt be in the field of design or anywhere near it ...

that looks like a cool conference... and it was just a short hop over to NYC from Boston – but I'm thinking more like a small group setting. Conferences are great to get pumped up at other people's work, but I want to be getting my hands dirty
