BTW, glad to see your site back up Paul. Always have liked it. You share the honor with Thinkmule as one of only two people here who I would entrust doing artwork/websites/posters for my band to.
That's not to say anyone else on NT doesn't do good work, it's just that your style and Thinkmule's really nails what I like. :)

I deleted it. My sources were wrong. I apologize.

Did seem too far-fetched to me. But then again, it wouldn't surprise me.

no problem, I just know that many people believe those emails, and it is actually illegal to call cell phones or anything where the receiver would have to pay for taking the call.

I'm the same way about these emails. But coming from my source, I thought it to be true. Thanks.

Anything to stop those dickpig telemarketers.
https://www.donotcall.gov/Six national wireless companies (AllTel, AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Nextel, Sprint PCS, and T-Mobile) hired Qsent, Inc. (http://www.qsent.com/news/news... to produce a Wireless 411 service.
Its an opt-in program, however its still not a bad idea to register your mobile number.
Though it is illegal to use an autodialer to call cell phones for sales or marketing purposes (since you pay for incoming calls), creating a national database of names and numbers of cell phone users could potentially lead to telemarketing calls on your mobile phone.
Its free and takes all of 23 seconds to register.

The FCC and the Federal Trade Commission set up the National Do-Not-Call Registry to enable consumers to reduce the number of unwanted telemarketing calls to their phones. The Registry covers both traditional (wired) and wireless (mobile) phones. The Registry is nationwide in scope and applies to all telemarketers, with the exception of certain non-profit organizations. Personal cell phone users have always been able to add their numbers to the National Do-Not-Call Registry either online at www.donotcall.gov or by calling toll-free at 1-888-382-1222 from the telephone number they wish to register. Registrations become effective within 31 days of signing up and are active for five years. There is no cut-off date or deadline for registrations.
