Do you mean you have the Layout and you just want it in HTML?
1 word, fireworks

kona the link didn't work

i have two images on my server and just want to write up some html that would place them in an email
- zanetate0
It's not the link JD... Kona's saying you need to put your images online somewhere and then link to them using the full URL. Basically... don't attach the images cuz the message will get huge.

yeah. i know i tried that and i can't get it to work though. is there something i'm missing, for instance...
if i put an image on flickr why does this not work for me
- jdcomba0
yea. well the code won't work when i put it up here.
- jdcomba0
will it work if i host the images on flickr, or sould i not?

jd. you'll just have to make your image links look like that.
if you have links on flickr right click and view the property at where they have the image hosted. use that image url in your html email.
in dreamweaver or frontpage you won't be able to actually see the image as you create the email as the image is hosted on an external server, but when you push it live the html calls the image from the other location.

the image source code needs to be this in the html.
(img src="http://www.josephcomba…...

use the find button, there's been a couple threads that have good info on how to do it. helped me out.

create the page just using very basic html. open it in IE, select all, copy, open Outlook, create a new message, paste the contents of the clipboard into the email, save as an Outlook template
The file size may be a bit larger, but at least you'll know everything's there.

Yeah you can make one image for all the text if you think it won't change much or make it in html. Just use basic table layout, not css. But 1 image with an absoulte link is the easiest way to go.

will someone just check my code for me if i email ti to them.?
- zanetate0
You'll probably want a physical mailing address in the message too. HTML emails tend to get filtered or interpreted as spam without them.
- bk_shankz0
I can check but I got to run downtown for a bit.

this will save you alot of time
