This is most awesome: if you go to the McD's corporate website, they have a section called 'People Promise'. Then you click the 'People Promise' submenu [??], and here it is, the big PEOPLE PROMISE:
'To the 1.5 million people who work at McDonald's in 119 countries around the world, and to all future employees, we want you to know that:
We Value You, Your Growth and Your Contributions.
This is our People Promise.'
Wow. That's not a promise, that's a freaking gretting card. Anyone who thinks these guys are committed to ANYTHING is fooling themselves. Their freaking lawyers wouldn't let them commit to anythign even if they BEGGED.

yep, don't make me start on BET and black advertising targets, that's ridiculous. you wonder why some are so huge and fat. drink wrong, eat wrong, no excercise, etc. same for many groups

come now JazX. BET is 1 channel amongst hundreds of others that do the same thing. Go after a target market. My son doesn't watch BET, but within the 2 hours max TV that he is allowed he gets plenty of SPAM from General Mills and McDonald's. Case in point, when my son was 3, he had never been to a fast food restaurant. Yet one day when we were in the ATM drive thru by a bank next to a McDonald's, he shouts "McDonald's!" and points to the golden arches. I was like "wtf?" and then realized he recognzed it from TV. Maybe my fault for letting him watch enough TV to conciously notice McDonald's, but damn, what branding power aka brainwashing that company has.

Moss Burger reminds me of McDowells from Coming to America

I think it's 'Mos Burger'. not two S'. That reads pretty gross.

Hey I agree... Mc D's is not the best choice to express your pride.. but if they wanna express it behind a company that helps obesity.. oh well.. I did however like D5ives comment about taking his kids there for the toy.. and playground.. nothing else.. has he tried the park? over watching people stuff their faces? it worked for my mom as I was growing up.

The guy with the guitar looks relaxed.

yup Crouwel, very sad. The UN does nothing, Europe does nothing, US does nothing, leaders there are corrupt as f*ck. It's a big messy mess.

(Sep 8 05, 14:59)yeah, but in this case - of Zambia - there's tons of non-govt. aid orgs who put enormous effort in the communities there.
and it's exactly this sort of organizations i support and want to support more in the future.
- JazX0
Yeah that's where you want to put your money man. Non-Governmental focused projects that are sustainable are generally pretty good.
Non-Profs with no focus are mumbo-jumbo, two separate things. There are a ton of those from the EU and US, honestly a lot from Sweden and your country.

QBN did that ad first. Just check out the QBN Cert column on left.

why doesn't md's make foodstuffs that can be eaten with chopsticks?
- d5ive0
I'm sure they'll make some that are red with arches at the end. Or with Ronald printed on them.

Oy vey. No doubt the brainchild of some 'marketing' department that patted each other on the back all along the way. Recognizing other cultures is one thing, patronizing them is another. Hopefully people can see the hood being pulled over their eyes here (but ya can't count on it).

I thought this was a joke...reminds me of another article I read:
