I love it when Quicktime supposedly doesn't exist after I install iTunes. Oh well. I may try downloading it separately, or just not getting it at all. Pfft, I don't need it.

What version of WMP do you have? If you don't have 9, delete the program and the plugins from the "Internet Plug-Ins" folder, and install the newest version.
If you have the latest version and it's a recent problem, try deleting your .plist file.

i can no longer play Windows Media files on my Safari. it is well annoying. always need to look up the wmv path in the source and paste it into Media Player.
How to fix this?
Anyone else got this problem?

I have the same problem. When I installed iTunes yesterday, Quicktime also messed up Flash in Firefox. I've been trying to figure both out for a while - I'll see if I can come up with anything.

QT and Safari are fucked.
Movies don't play, safari crashes ... take a look at the discussions on Apple.
I is ffuuuuuoooooooOOOOOOOOOooooouuuu... as i need it for my work!
There was an update this morning, 7.0.2 that I hoped fixed this but, nope, the release was just as uninspiring as a nano, or nono as I like to call it.

Since installing iTunes 5 on my pc this morning... quicktime now doesn't work... it is okay on IE though... keeps giving me this...
The Quicktime Plug-in requires the QuickTime System extension version 5 or later
anyone else had this bother?
