It's a hard one i guess - is there a possibility of making some objects face the camera all the time?
I have a map of a city as a 3d layer with some locationsigns placed above it also as 3d layers.
When i move camera above the map i'd like that these signs would face it all the time but kept their coordinates on the map. is it possible?

try creating a 3d null object, and place it directly on the cameras anchor point. Now parent the camera and the layer to the null.
From now on you will have to use the keyframes of the null object to move the camera. Is that what you meant??

yes but when i move the camerawith null object my location signs will move also
Can i assign layers to some specific property of null object. Like my layers only rotate along x axis with Null object but when Null moves then they don't?

Found something!
If you right-click on layer, select Transform, then tehre's Auto-orient, and you can orient it towards a camera :)
Hopefully i get it to work because now the layer is facing camera with it's side, so nothing is seen... but i'll work it out i hope

wait a minute...
alls you gotta do is select the object you want, crtl click the layer it's on and hit like, object orientation and you can pick 'face camera'.
The object will be wherever you put it, but face the camera at all times.

i understand, but i'm pretty sure you cant do that.
If you can, it must be fairly advanced stuff, i'd like to know how its done.
Are there too many layers to just use rotation keyframes that mirror the camera keyframes so they appear as if they're staying straight on?

hey, shows what i know?

I'm trying it out on a solid, 3d layer, but i cant find that option. Am i being slow? Can you give me the full path.
