Anyone know anything about this band?
I just got home and found a letter in my mailbox informing me the band will be filming a video on my block on Sept 1st and 2nd...should I be concerned?

they're a pretty big pop punk band... just played on the Mtv awards.

Just checked there stuff out at amazon. man it does suck. Great to know they'll be doing a video near my home.
Apparently there will only be one cube truck and 2 15 passanger vans and a small generator. Or at least that what the letter is telling me. Nice of them to drop off letters in everyones mailbox.

i love them. The old cd is great if you just want some good poppy emo, lyrics are very strong but its just fun music. the new cd is good to i need to listen to it more to see if its great but its decent.

heres the deal:
1) all those dudes are vegan sxe
2)they have been in some amazing bands : vegan reich, racetraitor, killtheslavemaster,etc etc
3) the drummer is an old buddy of mine. i was in a hardcore band for 5 years (since by man) and we toured with the drummers old band (killthslavemaster - on cyberdine 243, home of creation is cruifixion and more) - think slayer reign in blood era meets techy death metal a la suffocation
they may be pop punk, but they are basically just cashing in and good for them. amazing dudes. and im willing to bet almost noone has any idea of any of their hardcore roots
they are what they are. their music isn't made for 19 year old indie snobs. take it for what its worth.

whats your classification of "emo"? im sure its a lot different than when "emotional hardcore"(what the term is actually short for) was conceived

i'd say jimmy eat world / sunny day were emo, but the softer versions of rites of spring / planes mistaken for stars
