I just rode home through the most amazing thunder and lightning storm...flashes all around me that were so bright they blinded me for af ew seconds...the LOUDEST fucking thunder claps I have ever heard that seemed to shake the buildings I was riding past...step up the pace...then the heavens opened...slowly and steadyily the big drops grew in accumulation and pace...there was a fantastic smell around as the heat of the day on the roads was cooled away by the falling water...steam everywhere...

Our summer thunderstorm count has been lacking here in Maine this year. I miss em.
My wife lived in Tallahassee a few years back, and she had some amazing storms, like 2 or 3 a month.
