kanye for mayor!

The DJ was out of line. But as a guest, I think you have to kind of expect that shit. All these DJ's try to cross the line and do shock radio now. I'm siding with Kanye on this one though, but I think he shoulda just got up calmly and left. The yelling and table slapping was unnecessary. (even though I would have probably at least flipped a chair or two)

i would have written down all my answers and handed them to him.

how is the song "Diamonds" contradictive?
I am with kanye on this too... they really should not bleep that out nor keep that douche of a dj on the air.

its conttadictive becuase its suppose to be about poor kids in africa making diamonds for white ppl and %5 of the song is about that %95 is how kanye is so good, and in one verse hes's like they;ll never take my diamonds away or soemthing like that.

he is being a baby about some of the stuff...you can tell by the lyrics. It seems like only 1/2 actually has to do with that diamond issue.
- JoshClancy0
what diamond "issue"??

this one:

there are 2 versions of this track. and both made the album.
the lyrics posted pertain to a tracked deemed "bonus". the other track guest stars jay-z. it talks about sierra leone and the diamond trade. it also draws parallels between the ghetto of the diamond farms to the rap game and the american ghetto's. BUT i ain't gonna waste my time looking for the lyrics just cause someone is crying about kanye being contradictory. it's rap music!!!! it's music!!

kanye is a little bitch

The video..."poses as a criticism of human rights violations that occur on a daily basis by british and american diamond companies who profit disproprtionately from slave labor conditions in sierra leone (They send children into these mines without protective masks and clothing ... this is the only place in the world where people still get the pneumonic plague)...The video too quickly (and without explanation) diverges from this criticism and devolves into a story about how well West wears his jewelry and how fast his cars are.
The song is devoid of meaning ... West is a great rapper in the braggadocio tradition of west african toastmasters, but even the boasts in this song arent nearly as impressive as his usual offerings. And the misleading title is most egregious ... the song is devoid of meaningful political content."
and
"It's not that this song doesnt have dope lyrics over a great beat, its just that it focuses way too little on making a statement about its title subject. the first verse of the remix does a good job of making that statemnt, but the rest of the song fails to say anything that sticks with you about a situation that needs to be brought into our conciousness as a true atrocity."

I know of both videos and singles.
