has anyone ever had a virus infect an MP3 player? I have an ipod formatted for PC's and it started skipping like 30 specific songs. I did hook it up to my brother-in-law's PC once which later I found out was majorly infected with viruses. I had my suspicions, so I scanned my ipod with an antivirus program and it found nothing. But magically after that, the skipping stopped and all my songs work again. Anyone know if it could be a virus or just a problem with the ipod? its only 2 months old.

my ipod has started skipping occasionally too. It's formatted for mac.

Just do a restart on the ipod and it should stop playing up - doesn't delete any tracks, just restarts the on-board system. Mine has hung a few times while trying to hook up to my mac...
