the latest thing is to come in juggling all of your handheld projects
juggling is huge these days
and throwing or 'pitching'

a lot of people at my school build clam shell boxes to house their hand bound book, some hand held projects and a little room to grow
others buy strange vintage objects like old artillery cases or smaller suitcases and build them out
or some just flake and buy an expensive looking folio from the store
guess it depends on your style

my first interview was such a rush, i just show evrything from my powerbook and some drawings from bits and pieces of papers. the boss didnt mind anyway because she likes my paintings. and i am hired.
either you can create a simple flash, powerpoint or in a portfolio folder.

my college made me buy some freaking fancy ass portfolio for my portfolio review. haven't ever used it. i use a simple little 11x17 thing. and drop off a digital folio.

Depends on your medium. If it's interactive I'd say no. Haven't seen someoen with an actual physical portfolio in years.

Doesn't anyone think that coming with an actual portfolio book is darn cool.
I mean, people want to see you get started on paper. I would bring a notebook as well but it is never bad to bring actual printed stuff.
I mean stuff you design for print always look better when they are actually printed. Right?

(Aug 29 05, 19:22)If I interviewed you and you showed me powerpoint, I would show you the door.

i would make the person in question promise to remove powerpoint from the computer. then show them the door.
