i can't help but be a little curious as to how you were able to land a freelance gig with such a large company and yet have no idea how to price your work?

depends on whether or not they appreciate you spelling their name wrong. if they get off on that, I say nail them. if not, buy them all a cola slurpee beverage and see how those monkeys dance for you.

hi ladybuggin,
it depends how much you want to make? how rich do you want to be? how good are your skills? you should have a pretty good idea. in your head, and i suspect you're asking because you're lazy and want us to do the math for you. so... i'll help you out a lil...
$7/hr = $14,560 /year
$40/hr = $ 83,200 /year
$60/hr = $124,800 /year
$200/hr = $416000 /yearbased on 52 week year at 40 hours per week. not accounting taxes, or any other business costs. see what i mean tho?
math. it was important in high school after all.

Sounds like an illustration gig rather than a design gig. A company like Nickelodeon should have a nice budget.

Sometimes hook ups direct with big clients liek that happen. It's happened to me. But, If you didn't get it on your own, I would ask the advice of the agent who placed you with the job. They'd know better than anyone.
If youre working for an agency who's working for Nick, you should ask one of the other freelancers or employees you'll be working with.
If you got a hook up from the inside, I would just be honest and ask your hook up. That's always worked for me and I've been treated honestly and fairly for just being real.
"What did you have in mind for buget and I'll work out everthing I can possibly fit in there for that" I come up with written down deliverables, and usually over deliver -- theyre always happy and sometimes even give me more than I asked for.
