AroungBethnal Green is pretty good; close to the bars in Brick lane hoton / shoreditch but cheep and a stones throw from the City.

Hampstead, North London

Yeah Hamstead is very nice, but expensive and not many young people live there. Bethnal Green has really good transport links, is cheap and lots of interesting people live there, however, it is a bit of a hole. I would go for Bethnal Green if you are a bit tight on money.

It's not that expensive really.
I paid 260 squid a week for a one bed flat with garden about 5 mins from the heath and high street.
It's perfect cos you are only 10 mins by tube from the city, and yet it feels like you are in a small village.
I really, really miss hampstead....

Well, I'll be working in West Kensington so the commute from Hoxton would be how long? Or from Bethnal Green?
