I have a form where I need to check the user against a SSN database to see if it is valid, is there such a thing? or is there a place to pay for that kind of service?

that's a tough one. might have better luck on monday or with google.

I imagine so, but I have a hunch it would cost a pretty penny and require an assload of paperwork with credit bureaus, or whomever.

i would think the us government would not like anyone who has the internet to be able to see if a ssn is valid or not
