No one in the US really cares. Pretty much think its a witch hunt. What's the international opinion on this?

drugs are illegal in sports. let's keep it that way...
unless we make like a special version of the olympics that's like all about using drugs. that would be cool.

The Drug Olympics™.

tabloid exploit, but they should test all the other athlete's urine samples from that year and see who else (read: everyone) was taking EPO as well.

(Aug 25 05, 12:17)Try the Olympia contest and any other bodybuilding contest for that matter. Basically what it comes down to is 'my steroids worked better than your steroids'

there've been too many allegations against LA to say he was completely clean during the first couple of tour wins.
HOWEVER, the proof that he won it the last coupla years with all the testing coming up negative says a lot.
Unlike Marion Jones whose had the same kind of allegations, never tested positive yet her performance dropped off (under the new scrutiny) to the point where she couldnt even make the Olympic team - says a lot.

the steroid olympics
how many needles can they fit into their buttocks at once.

Did you think he was clean and able to win 7 tours?
- moural0
I think I recall hearing or reading that 25 or so samples came up positive from 1999 during the recent tests, so that's close to 1/7 of the Tour.
The whole testing system is a joke. It's hard for anyone to have any credibility when the IOC and UCI are constantly botching things up (re: Tyler Hamilton).
