The man behind the man, behind the bar...

I would never go buy a bottle, but I'll drink it. Usually I just go to my buddy's house and drink out of his amazing scotch collection; he's in the Air Force and him and his buddies are always bringing back some different kind of scotch that is next to impossible to even special order here in the states... at least that's what he tells me. Otherwise, Turkey Rare Breed for me.

couple of old mates used to call me the scotch machine. they reckoned if you held your glass under my armpit and pumped my arm scotch would come out.
hate the stuff!

I dont really rate Johnny Walker. I might put it in a cocktail but it's not good enough for sippin'.

I'm more of a bourbon guy, Bullit Bourbon for me thanks.

Just Jim Beam for me.

I wouldn't clean the floor with that pish.
It's ok for the export market, but it's nowhere near the best blended whisky available, even Bells is better than that. If you want a good blended whisky you want to get Grants or Famous Grouse.
The best yet though is obviously the single cask, cask strength, single malt scotch whisky

Johnny Walker is fucking rank.
I would rather start on the aftershave than drink a blend..The Glenlivet would be my preference and if anyone mentions putting coke in it I may get very very angry.

I got a bottle of this when I was up in Wales.

Single Malt Welsh Whisky.http://www.welsh-whisky.co.uk/
It's not too bad. It's a sweet whisky, and I rather go for peaty but this is rather nice.

I normally go for Talisker or Laphroaig. Nothing else quite does it. I'll buy blends for cooking and cocktails. Grouse is reasonable.
I dont touch Bourbon.

I prefer Blue Label if I drink it at all. I'm more of a Bombay Sapphire or Belvedere Vodka man myself.

Of course theres nothing wrong with neat frozen Gin or Vodka either.

Welsh whisky?? Never heard of that before, love to try some though...
I'd never have drunk Japanese whisky or Irish or American had they not been guest whiskies here
http://www.smws.com/speaking of which there are tasting rooms in London and Edinburgh, how about an NT malt whisky night in either of these cities??
