So over 40 days has gone by since I filed the claim about the dent in the rent-a-car in England. I've sent the email with the claims package to them three times and a paper envelope of all the forms once on 7/11/05.

I called the number on the card today. The guy was clueless and gave me the Chase TravelRewards number.

So I called that number where an automated voice said "Thank you for calling Chase Travel Rewards, where we provide customer service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week...please hold..." then i heard a click. And was promptly disconnected.

So I called back and heard the same message "Thank you yadda yadda yadda 24 hours a day seven days a week blah blah blah" then I heard a series of clicks and a new automated voice came on that said "Your Chase Travel Rewards program has been updated to provide a whole host of new features. Please hang up and call [another number]..."

So I hung up and called the new number. The automated service had me enter my entire credit card number, date of birth, mother's maiden name, expiration date, zip code, last four of SS, etc. Then they transferred to a menu. Item 1,000,000 was to speak w/ a customer care representative. So i pressed "0".

Then i heard "our customer care office is currently closed. Please call back from 9-5, Monday thru Friday....thank you..." [click]

Once I receive the credit for this claim, I will be changing my own Chase Travel Rewards program to offer myself a whole new host of features:
    1. Receive claim
    2. Cash in Travel Miles
    3. Call all three numbers and curse out the automated system
    4. Hold my card over the gas stove range for 2 minutes
    5. Submerge card in my overgrown ice chunk in the freezer
    6. Nuke card on "defrost" for 30 seconds, with optional rotisserie
    7. Bury card in lime in the back yard
    8. Go get a slushie for 7-11
