Another pain in the ass technical question, sorry:
On a Mac OSX running DreamweaverMX 2004, a simple background color applied to a cell within a table is showing up blank in Firefox – it's fine in Safari, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I need to do to make that show up. Is this a Firefox issue or a setting in DMWV?
Thanks for any suggestions. I'm guessing this is a simple fix.

in the td, bgcolor="hex"
that what you mean?

yeah, I'll apply a #444444 hex color to the bg of a table, and it won't show up in Firefox – shows up as white??

try this:
style="background-color:#444444...

firsfox is weird like that, if the cell is empty it won't show the color. older versions of netscape used to do that too.

well, it looks like it just needed the "#" before the hex value – never needed that in the past! Or it added it for you automatically...
strange

If your Doc type is XHTML then you need the "#"
I think :/
