I want to capture a flash movie as video (.mov) I can't do a straight export from flash as some of the movement is done with actionscript. Anyone know any alternatives?

can't you play it out on your video card and record it like that??

record it to a video player?
I'm not really set up for that...

well you're not really set up for recording an MOV from an SWF then are ye?
There are apparently also software solutions that will record off of screen, much like our Captivate only in much higher quality.... only they cost fucken heaps.

do a search on versiontracker for 'screen recorder' ... will show you the available software...there are some freewares, sharewares and demoversions around...

have you done it before MX?
- MX_OnD0
only via a video camera.... worked pretty well though...
I really don't know about the software that is being mentioned by my esteemed co-NTers, may be worth trying but to get best results I've heard is v. expensive...

would I just need a special cable to hook my powerbook up to my video player?
