ok this has been on my mind for abit now.
i set a grid in illustrator grid is 1x1px i snap a pixel to the grid then a snap 4 more pixels to a grid making a 4x4 pixels resize it to 1x1px remove the right side 2 pixels and set the 2 pixels beside the 1 px so it becomes 1 px and a half a pixel
like in this screenshot
http://www.meversusthem.com/publ…now scale back screenshot paste in photoshop you will see that that half pixel is now represented at a gray color R143 G143 B143
in photoshop if i paste a solid black color and set opacity at 50% the color is R 127 G127 B127
Why?
isn't 50% opacity half a pixel?so why am i getting different results for each one
http://www.meversusthem.com/publ…
im doing this because lets say you take an F the second line the smaller one you either round it off to a solid pixel or no pixel but u can represent it as half more or less with grayscale colors like this http://www.meversusthem.com/publ…
so why am i getting different resutls?
from illy then photoshop?

Not sure, but have you tried using punctuation?

OH SNAP! when you merge them it becomes R127 G127 B 127
would i round it of to 128 though?
since its 127.5?

As much as I'd love to help, I can hardly focus on the screen right now, making it hard for me to understand. So for now, until I wake up I'll say...
What?
Giggity giggity giggity...

P.S. I'm drunk.
