i had the sweetest deal. i had a rent stablized aapt on laffayette btween prince and spring.
total rent: $236.32 per month!
teh bad news was i was subleting and the building managment didnt like that and one day i came hoe with an eviction notice on my door that was 45 pages of john doe you must vacate the premisis, blah blah blah.
it was such a cute apt and the building is 265 laffayette. you can go there and try to land an apt as a lot of people are always moving in and out, and its a rent stablized building!!!
i can not go back as the managment knows me, but you can try. and its the center of attention of every naw yaourker due to location and price.

spl33,
Well, if the guy played his cards right, he could get the landlords to pay the renter s big wad of cash for that property.Rent stablized apartments are rare.
My aunt/uncle got offered $250k to move out of their rent controlled UWS apartment, and they turned it down. Why? Because that's not enough to convince them.

Hey thanks for everyone's responses.
the reason why i'm asking on here is because i'm actually in so cal and won't have the opportunity to check out the apt before hand.
i thought it might be easier to find a nice clean place through an NTer than off random people on craigslist.
i'm also open to renting a spare room for a few days until i can find my own apt. if anyone has any leads there i'd be interested also.
thanks again!!
