you're lucky you don't work for me.
seriously. i don't have a company.
if you worked for me you'd be, what, cutting my grass? shining my boots? poor, for sure.

thats what proofs are for non?

I did that a little while ago.
My excuse was, 'i'm a web designer, why was I doing a print designers job'
That's why I do web, so I can fuck up and easily correct my mistakes.
word.

i am with rasko. proofs are there for proofing. Did anyone but you proof this before the proof?
As far as I am concerned, copy needs to be ready when it gets to the designer. We all look at text as just another graphic element once we drop it into whatever program we are using.

proofs = proofs, but I think a company may still grill you about mistakes anyway. They probably want to get it done, without any mistakes, asap.

I got a couple of proofs here where the vendors made 2 typos! I caught one of them, and client saw the other. She spazzed but she's one of our mean clients. She likes to kick us in the balls.
- tehgee0

u mean tehre are some who DONT liekto kick you in the balls???!!

Most of my clients are nice and cool, but yeah this one is always phreaking. She's on a emotional rollercoaster.

make sure your client sends a copy of your last reviewed pdf file back by fax with his autograph.
when there's a typo in the proof or real print - the costs of a possible new proof or reprint are the clients'.but when it's a wrong overprint thing, you suck.
