How do I copy/paste a vector from Illy CS to ID CS where it maintains all vector qualitites?
I'm a n00b to ID CS. Baclk in 2.0. you just had to change the Illy pasteboard prefs.
But that no workey-no more. Thx all.

copy in Illy and paste into InDesign.

some times you can even just drag it over, but I have gotten sketchy results doing that.

when I do that, it acts as if it's been placed in a pict box, and I can't change points, colors, etc. Am I missing something?

nevermind. duh-hickey. got it.

yeah.. how does that work? whenever i've done that in CS, it places it as an uneditable EPS, but in CS2 it will place it, but not perfectly - for example, a 50 point line with two end points will become a rectangle with four points..

you've got to check preserve paths in illy prefs. aicb, not pdf.

i have the same thing on my mac. On PC it preserves the paths but on mac it doesnt. Maybe it's a CS thing also because im using CS on the mac and 2.02 on the pc
