PS Emergency!

Never had this happen before - a few files I was working on on Friday that I saved can't be opened now. I get the message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right type of document."
In Explorer I tried changing the program to view the file, but that didn't do anything. They are all listed as the size they should be, but cannot be opened.
Anyone know how I can get these open? 3 files, all mockups of a site and my only working files for it at the moment!!

Try renaming the extension. Or opening them up in some other application and re-exporting.

BTW I am in PS CS1 and Win2K.

i have had this problem with ps cs2 too.
when you open the file from ps, make sure you have the right format selected.
for example, my files got named as .jpgs even though they were .tiffs. so when i opened them from within photoshop as a tiff, it worked.

Good news - Took a look at what was listed in Open Recent as these were the last files i worked on Friday.
They opened properly, must be opening from the PS Temp file which is still in Local Settings/Temp.
Saving new versions.
