hrm :/ When I went to the page, the little MM dialog box came up asking me if I wanted to install Flash Player 8, despite having done it several weeks ago.

That's probably becuase you had a beta version installed, and this page upgrades you to version 8.0.5... wheras before you probably had 8.0.0.xxx.
