i have posted about that club here in the past... got not many responses though!
the new version was a very memorable experience.. they moved a few years back to an old huge concrete silo near the rotterdam harbor. it's huge and industrial but still they manage to create a very vibrant and diverse atmosphere.
when i was there there was a small corner with a trailer inside selling candy and lollipops, lots of pillows to jump on a small stage where girl punk bands were playing loud.. then there's 3 main halls with very very good dj's. one hall has club/techno, the other had a dj playing drum'n'bass/jungle etc. and then there was a dj with another genre i forgot.
then there's performers/dancers, lots of creative stuff going on, stage decorations, tons of visuals controlled by veejays, great drinks, food and what not!
one thing to mind:
dress up!i almost got refused cuz i was wearing a blank shirt with nothing printed on it (i hardly ever were shirts with prints on them!)..
there's just a very strict whiny doorbitch there that loves to tell you how to dress!
>:(
but it's one of the best places in the netherlands for a night out IMHO!

i think it is also the only club in the world that has a site built out of pdf's!

Yeah I was wondering about the dresscode. I heard your standard button up dress shoe clubber gets turned away but if you dress wild you are golden...

well, i noticed there were a lot of people jsut wearing football club tees.. but i think they considered it "haute" or cheesy enough.. while looking at the chaps wearing them they could 've easily been real soccer fanatics if not hooligans!
anyway, just get something from threadless and some decent sneakers and in their eyes you'll be golden.

Utrecht or bust...

Utrecht is only good for picking up girls. Lots and lots and lots of female students there.
:)

hmmm, didn't notice, just liked how calm it was compared to Amsterdam, and the Dom Tower is nothing to shake a stick at...

you were with your wife, snugs, you were simply not allowed to notice!
;P
my last ex-gf studies there as well.

ah, yes, very true.
I really want to check out Rotterdam though. A'dam is nice to visit but after this second trip I realized I don't want to live there. Utrecht, yes, that's more my speed...
