I thought this record was a much much better attempt at standardizing rock and roll songs into Jazz and Swing than Pat Boone's piece of shit album. Paul Anka didn't go around wearing leather and making an entire promotional gimmick out of it. It's all about the music.
Paul Anka just plain fuckin rules. I love this album.

true story.
my dad and paul anka used to get kicked out of shop class when they were teens for singing elvis songs..
to this day, if he's in town in toronto, he still sometimes sends tickets and stuff to my uncle who was closer to him than my dad was..
they also used to hang out with comedian Rich Little...of him all my dad will say is that he told the same lousy jokes then as he does now..
