1) I have a 98 pages Word Document with formatted text and (a ton of ) tables that I'd like to import into InDesign (CS1). How do I do it? the "place" option imports only the text but not the tables.
I tried everything and nothing works.
2) Is there an option in InDesign similar to Quark's "Automatic text box"? I'd like for InDesign to create pages automatically to fit all the text I am importing.
3) How can I view which text box is linked to what? Quark shows the arrows, but I can't find a way to see this with InDesign.

coming out of word, tables don't translate very well. the tabs will sometimes come through and you can highlight and convert that to table, but it doesn't work as nicely as excel does
