If didn't spend hours and hours of hand rendering the IRON MAIDEN logo and sketching pictures of Eddie I probably would be pumping gas instead of pushing a mouse around.

You know what - are there any more cool metal or hard rock band logos that are really iconic anymore?
I mean Kiss, Van Halen, AC/DC had really great "brand" identity...awesoem logo design...I don't see that anymore with any new bands...you don't get a visual hook or emblem on alot of bands these days...

Tick, there are load of iconic Metal logos floating around, the problem is metal has largely gone under the radar since people began losing interest in the early 90s which was ALSO the time that metal bands started popping up all over the place..which means far less people see the same logos as there's so many more bands to spread interest across.
Strapping Young Lad (SYL), Opeth, Blind Guardian, Nile, Kill For Satan, Blodsrit all have worthy logos (especially if you're familiar with the music of said bands).. plus some brilliantly symmetrical logos, especially from Black and Death metal bands..not to mention some of the older, less-seen band logos like that of Mortal Sin.
