sorry...let me expand. when i go to distill the psd or ai file to create a PDFX-1, i get a postscript error. so i am trying to get the file from an ai or psd to a .ps then distill to pdf x-1. anybody help with this? i'm feeling the heat from this magazine....

in a pinch they should be able to accept an EPS file (convert type to outlines).

yup, print to file

have you tried printing your file with adobe postscript as your printer - that way you can make a ps file
