About to have an important interview in Chicago - and I want to present my portfolio in a way they've never seen before.
Anyone know of some different ways of binding pages together - ie: slick metallic clips? I want to assemble this on my own, not purchase one of those damn expensive 'art portfolios'.

They've probably seen it before, but it's easy to do it yourself...

Scrolls.
Sealed with crushed rice with a wax seal and one of those Japanese artist red ink kanji stamps.
