Canada's new Governor General is from Haiti. She seems more interesting than Adrienne Clarkson.

i herd people are bitching because too many former CBC employees become Governor General.
I'm looking foward to see what she will do though. Obviously she's from a younger generation so maybe she'll bring in some fresh ideas to the job. Oh and i hope she doesn't go crazy on Canada's credicard like Adrienne Clarkson did.

Haha, so true. Except I've been getting more interesting in it lately. I actually like watching news, except for when the show the same stuff over and over again, which is almost always the case.
Other hilarious times would include: Pierre Trudeau's antics, and when Belinda Stronach moved over to the Liberals. I thought it was funny, anyway.

i laughed my ass off when Ralph Klein was making a public speach and a dozen of gay and lesbian couples got on stage and made out in front of him and the audience.
pure gold.

Not sure why, but I didn't particularly like Clarkson. Maybe it's because of her tendency to excessively shop?

I have to give her respect, moved from Haiti at age 11, shared a 1 bedroom apartment with her mom and sibling. Rags to fame story. Good stuff, sure she will do a good job.
