i dont know how to useit so maybe thats why - i just double clicked on this font to intall it - next thing i know it ate it :/

it simply moved it into your Library>Fonts folder. If you go into File>Show Font Fiile (Command + R) it'll show it to you.
It is rather annoying, as a behaviour, and they changed it in Tiger, it now makes a copy into the Fonts folder.
