interesting...hey, curious about this. Do any of the buildings where you're at have "13th" floors? when i went to Portland, I was very shocked to see a 13th floor on the elevator. We don't have them in Reno. Unlucky
and stupid of us.

m ost elevators and buildings for that matter have NO 13th floor.

//I can hardly wait until I'm next in one to try it

that'd be fun if it worked on those old school ones with the gates so when you pass a floor you can see the people waiting and you're like 'peace!'

but honestly, the "14th" floor then is really the 13th floor. Do people really think that they can fool whatever forces they think are out there to get them by changing the number? That's like saying "well, it's time to take my birth control pill" outloud but eating an MnM.

ok. I fucked up. I thought this said Escalator Hack so I tried it on the escalator in the building.
I pushed the button at the bottom and it ended up speeding up really fast and shooting everyone off the end like some fucked up mortar.

"My hotel doesn't have a 13th floor because of superstition. Come on, people on the 14th floor, you know what floor you're really on. People planning on jumping out the 14th floor window, you will die earlier."
Mitch Hedbergmy friend's office in NYC is on 'floor 13' as the business card says
- mayo0
i'm thinking no gambling towns will have them. people are a superstitious lot when they gamble.

My local cinema has no row 'I"

actually, if i'm not mistaken, most places that don't have a 13th floor do, but use it for storage or for non business/sleeping stuff. i saw it on discovery.
the floor is there, just empty. cause if it wasn't they said 'people on the 14th floor would know they were really on the 13th floor and not want to stay there'
- mayo0
lookit kOna, droppin' the knowledge!
will you be in LV in august?
- mg330
We have Otis elevators, I just took a ride down to the first floor, but not sure if it worked.
Many variables though. Do you have to press it before anyone else presses a floor? What about after?
I would love it if I did it from the first floor going up to 13, and no one got off on their floor and rode up to the top with me.
We actually have two elevator banks, 1-13 and 14-28.

yeah mayo. august 26th - 29th although we don't have a place to stay yet.
our buddie who lives out there and can get all the deals is m.i.a. right now. we may have to just get whatever rate we can find online and deal with it.
usually the guy can get stay 1 night and get 2 free stuff. we'll see.

in all reality, how will you know it worked, it is possible noone was waiting for that elevator.
