duct tape is your friend

alas, duct tape will do no good. I'd use a popcan and a hanger if I thought it would work....

is it your muffler?
it will burn through a hanger in a few days if you're trying to tie it up. get some thicker wire that can withstand heat for the time being.
in a pinch when we were younger we'd take a soup can, cut it down the center, cut off the ends and wrap it around the hole in the muffler and weld it on. haha. we were broke.

nope. judging by the you-just-destroyed-your-car sound, it was the manifold that got a ferret sized hole blown through it.

why is it I alawys think it's gonna' be kingjulien?

ah a hole in the manifold? hopefully you just blew a gasket.
they are only a couple bucks (if you know enough about engines to fix yourself). at a shop it could run you a couple hundred to replace.
damn dude. sorry.

yep. i actually work at my dad's shop on the weekends, so i can do it myself.
I just hate that I have to spend all of saturday fixin it up...not to mention buying the part (if it IS the manifold).
the car's a purple peice of shit anyway. c'est la vie.

does it sound like it's sucking air?
your car has gone from blow to suck. haha. sounds sexy.

If it's just a gasket, 20 to 60$ (CAN) will do the job. but of course, time to do it yourself, the right tools, and some gasket glue... Adding the fact that you might break a few bolts if the car is old...
The best part is, you might discover it is not really that, so you would have done the job for nothing.
a hole in the manifold... don't count on that, if it did, the whole engine would have broke down big time...

i enjoyed this story.
it read like a nice thriller where you want to know what happens next--did the car really blow up killing the giant army of skullsucking alien robots, you think to yourself.
