If I have a source outputting 100 watts and 4 speakers, each speaker gets 25 right?

omg... i knew this was going into some abrevs...
i don't know MX, i just want to buy a car CD player. the one i like is only 2X25W whereas usually they have 4X50W
But my vehicle has a cabin. There's only 2 speakers, so i was wondering if per speaker is not the same of 4x50.
i don't know what kind of Watts are those...

best advice ask in a showroom, for real....
I used to know all that shit... (RMP is very roughly 0.7 of peak to peak.. all to do with a phase shift brought on by inductive impedance if my memory serves me right) but seeings as it is for a car and therefore DC it'd be best to check with a specialist... they should tell you for free, they want to sell you something after all...
