Do the images fade in the top left image?
Do the drop down menus layer over the fading images?
Anything seem out of whack?

all good on this end buddy. im glad to see you listened to our friend sun tzu and went with the clean version of the images.
the site looks really nice (well laid out, clean) and the pics on the main page look great.
cant wait to see the rest of the site.

yeah it's just that one.
I did have the other ones changing on different rates - but it got a bit much really...although...hmmm..maybe if I did it so that it changed sequentially from image to image...that might look ok actually....

can still read the links, sometimes just the link im hovering over i can see, sometimes they trail, sometimes theyre all there. it's weird. still readable/usable though!

I forget how to screen shot--also I just noticed that when that happens it's only for a second or so, the rest of the menu fades back in pretty fast
