Hi, I've been doing front end design for a while now, but never got interested into ecommerce setup on a site.
What will be the best way to get the quikest information posible for me to be able to understand more about ecommerce and onsite?offsite transactions??
Please help! Thanks!

that a help?
going t5he streamline way is decent for companies with a bit of dosh cos it costs a bit to setup etc.
if its for a small client then you might want to look at paypal.com and other similar solutions

Depends on your individual project, but could be you need to talk to an ecommerce consultant, who can look at your business aims and who can tell you all the options you have, from the site integration, through to the choice of payment processor, choice of merchant accounts (and whether you need one at all or use an integrated processor/merchant solution) linking with the bank account which is recieving the funds.... and then do the setup and integration for you.

As I remember it:
£200 set up
£30 per month fee
4% of every credit card transaction and 50p for every Switch / Maestro / Solo card transaction

We use WorldPay WorldDirect (UK)... includes the merchant account....charges are a little high compared to a seperate merchant account/processor, but works well.
