trying to make a liquid background that is essentially white with a black border that resizes with the browser window.
this is my initial attempt:
#background{
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background-color:#FFFFFF;
margin: 10px;
}but it is not taking up 100% of the height. what gives?

did you try [insert high number]px's instead of 100%?
- histwinsiste0
yeah but then the bottom border wont rest on the bottom of the browser window.

Is this a problem with every browser, or just Firefox?

just firefox actually

yeah, that's what I thought.
Hmm...

min-height: 100%

min-height: 100% should work but I've never tried it before...

I've been trying some stuff out.
min-height: 100% will constrain the size of your area to be only as long as the content within.This includes other div classes within.
